Ceri Vintage – Florence

My New York friend Sophie and I randomly found this little gem of a store whilst wandering around looking for a place to eat dinner (and we found it but that is an entirely different post). Ceri Vintage is located in the Oltrarno district on the Via di Sarragli on the Arno. They had the most beautifully edited (and fantastic quality) collection with proper vintage (verging on antique) pieces as well as some new and ex sample pieces (Mark Jacobs Stam bag anyone?).
I fell in love with a hook and eye fastening bolero. it was off white and from 1810 (someones underwear i guess). With its floral edging and equisite detail it would have looked fantastic over a vest and jeans over summer, but at 63 EUR i couldn’t justify spending the money especially after spending so much in Berlin (when i bought a trench and bag, because it was too warm for everything I had packed). In the end I ended up walking away happily with an unusual black and gold beaded necklace which I have been wearing loads.
In that area we also found one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at as well as a great handmade sandal store on via di Santo Spirito.
