Headed Home

I’ve just arrived in Port Douglas, and we are staying in what is probably the most luxe hotel I have ever been to. My room has a spa on the balcony overlooking the lagoon pool, and for the first time in over six months (probably something closer to twelve), I can feel the sun on my back.
An hour’s drive from Cairns, Port Douglas is the small fishing village that provides the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
We’re staying at the Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas, Which if you didn’t just read correctly HAS A SPA ON THE BALCONY. So I’m just going to relax in this quasi celebrity enclave for the next week and hope that I get back to Melbourne feeling refreshed, as I think its going to be a bit mental.
