I saw Wall-E last night. I know it’s a kids film, but I loved it. You will hear none of my usual vitriol for films today. It was heartwarming, sad, and just beautiful. You would have to be dead inside not to enjoy it. I was in tears from about half way through until the end. You know when your friends meet somebody new and they blather on about them all the time well I’m that girl about Wall-E. I’m not going to try to say anything particularly interesting, but to say go and see it, go and see it right now.

I also saw The Dark Knight (Tuesday, a week ago — before it was released! Thanks Guy and Lego Batman). It definitely lives up to the hype. It was great, the performances were faultless, although I don’t think the impact of some of the events played out through the characters much, it’s hard to talk about this without spoiling the ending, but in some ways I thought that there was a level of depth that was missing. That said, it was well written, well acted and there were lots of explosions and loud noises. Go and see it, that is if you haven’t already…
