London Fashion Week day two

Luella once again exemplified English eccentricity in her collection. A mash-up of elegant dresses provided the main theme throughout her collection. Layering the floaty liberty print dresses we’ve seen everywhere this summer to create a slightly crazy but very elegant collection. One of my favorite things in the collection was her layering and tangling of the almost comically large pearl necklaces. Definitely a look I will be pulling together myself at some point.

Looking at the first half of Marios Schwab’s collection I couldn’t help but wonder what the fuss about him was about. Although there were exceptions, a lot of the clothes looked completely unflattering, and others were just plain ugly. I completely hated the chambray denim jacket he showed. However, the second half of the collection contained some gorgeous dresses and tops with some lovely rope detailing. Vogue says that some of those last dresses were made entirely out of silver. They were truly exquisite.

Temperley has always been a rather girly brand so it was no surprise to see lots of froth and chiffon in her collection. However what I really appreciated was the harder edges on some of the dresses, the studded belts and slightly edgier finishes. What I am most excited about though is the art deco finishes on parts of her collection, in the cloche hats the models were wearing and on some of the trousers.
